Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS55288, TPS25750,
For a mobile charging station we need an USB-PD - PS only - circuit, which can deliver up to 20V/5A (100W). As we need a buck-boost converter the application "USB Type C Power Delivery Source with TPS65987D and TPS55288" seems to fit. Now I've found an article that TPS25750 better fits for high currents. Even when using the two FETs of TPS65987D in parallel the power dissipation is very high. As I have enough space I could use an external FET, too, but the circuitry shown in TPS65987EVM is rather extensive. If necessary I can add a MCU for "conecting" PD-controller and buck-boost.
Can you tell me which PD controller and buck-boost converter fits best for my application?
