Hi, we are experimenting some issues with our 485 communication. We uses your SN65HVD3085E as 485 a transceiver on our product, always as MASTER.
We have many clients using our product and never had a problem, but recently we detect a specific client that uses many slaves (all of then using the MAX483 at 12V of supply source), something about 15 slaves on the bus, and some of the slaves are not answering the master, exactly 3 slaves are not answering.
We read the whole document “The RS-485 Design Guide - SLLA272C” and check the client 485 bus.
We already check the cable used on the bus, they use the termination resistor of 120ohm on the begin and the end of the bus. The cable has the correct protection (Armor, ground, etc).
We check the distance between the devices, and the length of the bus too, Everything is OK, but yet, some of the slaves are not answering…
