DP83TC811R-Q1: Reason for 10uF decoupling capacitor on VDDIO supply pin

Part Number: DP83TC811R-Q1

Hi,

DP83TC811R-Q1 datasheet specifies 10uF (+1uF+100nF) decoupling capacitor on VDDIO supply pin. Can we remove this capacitor if the VDDIO regulator is capable of handling fast load transients and maintains the IO supply within the datasheet recommended range (+/-10% of nominal supply)?

Background: We are trying to use an LDO for VDDIO supply and it cannot support 10uF decoupling capacitor.

Regards,

Murthy
