Good morning,

I am designing a board with this chipset. I plan to use this to inhibit USB signal.

My question is, when we do not have any power, the USB signal can pass through the chipset or not?

Hi,

No the signal will not pass through when device is not powered. I would recommend using TUSB216I which allows short underneath the device.

Hi,

Please refer to section 10.2 Layout Example of the TUSB216I datasheet to see an example. With this device you can short the D1x and D2x pins underneath the device.
