Hi Community,

would TI consider opening the firmware sources of USB-2-MDIO tool? 

Or could you at least port it to the modern MSP-EXP430FR5969 launchpad?

    Hi Aziz,

    We are not able to open up the source code for the USB-2-MDIO at the moment. Is there a some underlying reason why the other two MSPs we do support is not sufficient? I can look into creating a new source file for the EXP430FR5969, but this might take some time.

    Hi Ross,

    thanks for the reply. 

    We consider designing FR5969 into our design and the source code of that MDIO-interface would be really helpful for us. 

    If you create, a firmware image for that device, that might help during development. But, in the end, we will need to implement a similar UART-to-MDIO functionality. 

    By the way, our company has already signed an NDA with TI, regarding Ethernet products, in case that makes a difference.
