TL16C752D: UART stops working after changing to TL16C752D,

Hi,

We have an issue with the UART by replacing TL16C752B with TL16C752D.
Our customer's application was working perfect with the previous version "TL16C752B",
but as per recommedation our customer has replaced with the D version "TL16C752D".

With D version, they are getting unexpected interrupts as show below.
And the UART communication is not working.As per datasheet and E2E inforamtion
B and D versions are software/hardware compatible and there is no change made
in the hardware or software, this issue occurs just by replacing to D version.




Actually the customer tried to modify the previous software as below and
there was less interrupt spikes after the modification.



Please let us know if there is any recommended procedure to reset the interrupt.

Please let us know if there is any idea why we are getting multiple interrupts
just by replacing the latest version and if there is any difference between the
version B and D.

    Hey Paddu,

    Do you have a board with the B revision and a board with the D revision? I am curious if we can test and see what the internal registers both read upon initial turn on and after attempting communication. Can you tell me the following bits in the registers for both cases:
    1)EFR
    2)AFR
    3)IER
    4)MCR
    5)LCR
    6)FCR
    7)LSR

    I just wanted to check in on this again. Were you able to resolve your issue? If not, have you had a chance to look into Bobby's questions above?
