TPS65988: 988EVM Port A could not output negotiation voltage , PortB is ok, the 2 port I set same configuration

Hi colleague,

I use below PJT file( follow default setting on 988 ), download related full image Bin file to 988EVM, I find Port A is always negotiating, but PortB is ok. Please help to check. Test procedure,

1. Power on the 988EVM.

2. Keep default HW setting on 988EVM.

3. download bin file to 988EVM.

4. Connect a sink board to 988EVM port A, issue occurs, Connect a sink board to Port B , no issue.

Please help to check. All the setting is same. for Port A and Port B.

When I set pjt as follows , using virtual address to send the source cap, no issue on PortA. It is too curious.

May I ask what version of the configuration tool you are using? If it is not, v5.13 I recommend downloading it from the following link

Hi Adam,

V5.15, I get the Software from internal file. V5.15 fix the virtual address bug and I need the function, so I have to use V5.15. But I will try V5.13 first for this abnormal phenomenon. will update to you ASAP.

Hi Adam,

Yes, V5.13 can work, no issue, so I am sure there's a bug in V5.15 application tool in our share folder.

But V5.13 has another virtual address bug, I will discuss with Atiq for this through email.
