TPS65987D: Is there a way to signal (via GPIO) whether the part has detected a BC 1.2 adapter or not?

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987,

One of my customer engineers has the following questions regarding our TPS65987:

We are using the TPS65987 for a USB PD application, and using GPIO outputs from the part to tell a processor which PDO is being utilized.  However, we haven’t found a way to signal (via GPIO) whether the part has detected a BC 1.2 adapter or what are the current limits of the adapter.  Specifically, we would like to know if the connected adapter/port is capable of >500mA source.

Do you know if this is possible?  Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
