Hi All,

My customer is doing fire control panel where he is using RS485 trx.

Customer is interested whether we can propose something in terms of optical fiber and not RS485 over copper.

DSP on the board is TMS320C6745.

Hi Antonio,

TI Laser drivers and receivers operate at a mugh higher data rate(>150Mbps). Some vendors like Avago/Broadcom provide optical to electrical converter for RS485 types of data transfer.
