XIO2000A: Got Error Message

Hi Expert,

We used XIO2000A in the below platform, it will get the error message when we connect a dual-UART PCI serial card to test it. But other brand bridge won't get it. Does it any driver issue in WIN10? Thanks!

Platform: Skylake

OS: Win10 64bit Pro

We have not experienced this issue in particular nor are we aware of any driver issues with XIO2000A and WIN10. What is the specific error message are you seeing? However, I would recommend moving to XIO2001 which is a next gen of XIO2000A.

Hi Malik,

I used the EVM in their PCB, seems the result is good. They used the two date code IC, but still fail.

I provided some layout suggestion, but it's an old project, they don't want to change it. Does any register could improve it? Thanks!

Without the error message, it is impossible to determine if it might be a hardware or a software problem.

Hi Clemens,

They used the "Burnin Test" tool for the RS232 test, the tooling connects the TX and RX, send the packets, you can see the below picture, it will show the error message in their PCB. But EVM looks good.

I saw data corruption when I did stress tests on the XIO2200A (which uses exactly the same bridge hardware as the XIO2000A). Apparently, this is the same problem.

As far as I am aware, this bug has been fixed in the XIO2001; simply switch to that.
