DS125BR800: SLVS-EC/SubLVDS for DS125BR800

Part Number: DS125BR800

Hi all

I would like to use DS125BR800 to extend SVLS-EC (Sub-LVDS) data transmition length.

Application is as follow

SONY Image-sensor ---SLVS-EC-->  DS125BR800 ---SLVS-EC--> HOST.

Is it capable to use this component for the purpose?

  • Hi,

i am not familiar with this interface. Maybe other folks have better ideas.
Is there any standard document which describes the electrical spec? Just need to check the AC/DC specs matches between the interfaces/
As i did one quick google study, i did not find the document.

    Regards
    Liang
  • Thank you for reply.

Sorry there is no standard document, this is SONY image sensor's specification.

then I can not show the detailed spec. but rough spec is as follow.

DC specification is almost same as sub-LVDS.

AC specification is, operational clock frequency is 2.3GHz.

    Please support me.

  • Hi,

This is not a normal application for the DS125BR800 device.

It is possible that we could configure the DS125BR800 outputs to work in this application, but we would need to know what amplitude and common mode voltage would be required.  The inputs could be more difficult.  The inputs are terminated to VDD.  This 2.5V level is likely too high for sub-LVDS devices.  The only solution on the input side would be to AC couple the signals.  Since this is an image sensor, I do not know if the signals are encoded or scrambled at all.  This is a requirement to have DC balance on the AC coupled signal lines, otherwise the link will not work.

If it helps, you can send specifications privately to lee.sledjeski@ti.com
