Simultaneously charging and OTG in Type C

Hi,

In our application we have a board which has a legacy Type A plug and power to the board will be supplied through phone when Phone acts as a USB host. Now we are using a Type C adapter (Type C to Type A receptacle), but when the phone battery is low we have to remove the OTG adapter and connect the charger to phone.

We are looking for a solution where Phone should work as USB host and when external charger is connected the phone should get charged. Our idea is to design a Board with USB A receptacle, Type C plug and Type C receptacle, Type C plug will be connected to phone and our device will connect to the custom board through USB A receptacle. We are okay if the board looses power or  data communication while phone is getting charged.

I found that CC pin has to be pulled low using 5K1 resistor for the device to charge. But not sure how we can achieve simultaneously charging and OTG.

Thanks,
