DS90UB947-Q1: DS90UB947/948 - Power Over Coax

Hi,

Can we implement Power over coax (POC) when we use the DS90UB947 / 948 Serializer / De-Serializer for our LCD display links?

What is the limitation if POC can't be implemented?

The POC support is for the ADAS FPD-Link parts, but here are some references you can look at:

Hi Palaniappan,

As i understand 947/948 is part of ADAS FPD serdes, So POC can be implemented. Pls confirm

We are using 947/948 in COAX mode and implemented POC.

We have implemented POC in a similar manner only as described in the link provided.

We are seeing some disturbance / interference in the DATA when we inject power. The LCD starts flickering randomly.

Could you pls provide some insight / help regarding this?

I can share this portion of schematics to you over email if required.

The 94x devices are the IVI (infotainment) devices, whereas the 91x/93x/95x/96x are the FPD-Link III ADAS devices. For complete FPD-Link portfolio you can visit this link: www.ti.com/.../overview.html.

For PoC information for the ADAS devices you can refer to the 953, 954, or 960 datasheet.
