DS90UB929-Q1: DS90UB929 with DS90UB926 FPD LINK device usage questions

Part Number: DS90UB929-Q1

Hello:

Because the DS90UB929 and DS90UB926 transmit LVDS signals through the FPD LINK 3 protocol. This channel is bidirectional communication. But now we want to transmit this signal through wireless sensing, so we need to add an amplifier to this channel as preprocessing, and the amplifier only pass the unidirectional signal, will it affect the normal operation of the system after adding the amplifier?

If there is any impact, how to solve this one-way communication problem?

Thank you!

  • Hello-

The FPD-Link III is a proprietary interface that does not allow inserting amplifiers, signal conditioners, buffers, re-drivers, or optical modules in the FPD-Link III signal path.

  • single-direction communication is well for UB929 and UB926. now the issue is that if you use the wireless to replace the cable, the link robust would be impacted! please make sure you can understand this system performance when select wireless mode.
for UB929/UB926, you can check the transmitter electrical spec., and the receiver electrical spec. in their d/s.

    regards,
