TUSB9261: SPI Flash Recommendation

Part Number: TUSB9261
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00882,

The TUSB9261 Implementation Guide lists several flashes, all of which appear to be EOL. There is a TI Design, TIDA-00882 (http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00882) that uses the TUSB9261 with a Micron SPI Flash, M25P10‐AVMN6TP.  But now even this looks to be going EOL.

Can you please make a recommendation for a compatible SPI flash?

Thank you!

Meredith

  • Hello,

We haven't tested more memories, but anyone with the below features should work.

    Regards

The bootloader uses a fixed frequency of 18.75 MHz.  The flash must use a word size of 8 bits and an address length of 24 bits. The program instruction must allow 256 bytes to be written in one operation.  The entire chip is erased by the bootloader prior to programming.  A minimum flash size of 512 kbits (64 k x 8) is recommended.

Also, the flash must support the following op-codes:
