ISO1050: SAE J1939

Part Number: ISO1050
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO1044, ISO1042

Hi team,

Could you share if  ISO1050 can support SAE J1939 or not?

Best regards,

Kurumi

  • Hi Kurumi-san,

    Thank you for reaching gout.

SAE J1939 is a higher-layer protocol that uses the CAN Bus technology as a physical layer. ISO1050 is an isolated CAN transceiver device that complies with CAN Bus physical layer specifications.

Therefore, J1939 implementation on ISO1050 will work fine.

ISO1050 is one of old CAN devices, I would recommend customer to consider ISO1042 or ISO1044 based on their isolation and package requirements. Thanks.

  • Hi Koteshwar-san,

Understood, thank you so much for the information.

    I'll check ISO1042 and ISO1044 as well.

    Best regards,

    Kurumi
