Good morning everyone.

I have a question about the PROFIBUS mode of the ISOW1432 device.

If I want to use this mode (PROFIBUS),

in addition to connecting the MODE pin to Visout, am I also forced to power the Vdd pin at 5 Volts?

Or does the PROFIBUS also work with Vdd set to 3.3V?

Hi Luca,

Thanks for reaching out.

As stated in Table 10-1 of ISOW1432 datasheet (also copied below), VDD = 3.3V and MODE shorted to VISOOUT is an invalid operation. The device doesn't support this boosting voltage configuration. When VISOOUT is set to 5V, the VDD has to be 5V.
