Isolated Power supply

Hi,

I am looking for an Isolated Power supply regulator for a Product. This supply will be used for External device.

Vin = 10.8V to 13.2V

Vout = Adjustable Power supply with 3.3V to 16V , 3A

So i need an isolated Power supply regulator which should isolate my circuit from external Interference/noise/EMC.

Regulator should also have protection circuitry like reverse polarity, short circuit protection, etc.

Request you to suggest a suitable TI device which will meet my requirement.

    If you design for your worst case output of 16V, 3A, we can say you need a power stage designed to support 48W. This could easily be handled by a DCM flyback converter or push-pull converter may also be attractive since your input voltage. I suggest using TI Power Stage Designer to help design your power stage and loop compensation. Most of the requirements you have stated will be addressed externally such as designing an appropriate EMI filter to meet whatever your requirements is, designing the appropriate level of isolation to meet your iso spec, Adding external circuitry to detect/respond to reverse polarity on the input/output. Short circuit protection will be covered when you design for peak current mode control (CMC) which has cycle by cycle current limiting. A good place to start for a controller is to look at any general purpose PWM controller such as UCC28C42. You can also search TI Reference Design Library to try and find designs that may closely match your specifications. Thanks for connecting through E2E.
