Hi
I'd like to know about the "CAN transceiver" 's pcb layout.
Can I draw tx, rx width normally (about 0.1mm ~ 0.5mm)?
If no, can i know about it?
Thanks

Hi Kyoung,
Welcome to E2E!
For this device, a PCB trace width range from 0.1 mm ~ 0.5 mm is acceptable. PCB traces that have a width that is within this range can be used to connect the Tx and Rx pins of this device to other components. If you have any further questions about the PCB layout guidelines for this device, please refer to Section 11 of the ISO1050 datasheet.
Regards,
Kenneth
Thanks!
so, As uart doesn't consider a PCB trace width, can i draw pcb trace width, assuming that CAN is a normal uart?
Hi Kyoung,
I am assuming you are referring to the width of the PCB traces connected to the TXD and RXD pins of the device. If you are not, please let me know. PCB traces with a width from 0.1 mm ~ 0.5 mm can be used to connect the TXD and RXD pins of the device to other components.
If you are referring to the width of the PCB traces connected to the CANH and CANL pins of the device, a trace width from 0.1 mm ~ 0.5 mm can also be used to connect these pins to other components.
Regards,
Kenneth
