Hello Team,

we are looking for isolated gate driver with inbuilt Desat sensing circuit with below specifications:

1. Automotive qualified
2. preferred inductive or capacitive coupling isolated gate driver
3. isolation barrier voltage greater than 1500V
4. Dual channel IC
5. capable of driving High side and Low side 1700V SiC MOSFET.

    Hi Tejasri,

    Thanks for your interest for TI's Isolated Gate Drivers. Based on the list of requirements, UCC217xx device family would be a great fit. It fulfills all the requirements -except that it is a single channel driver. However you can use 2 of the devices for the end application.

    1. Automotive qualified
    2. preferred inductive or capacitive coupling isolated gate driver
    3. isolation barrier voltage greater than 1500V [Max working voltage 2121V and Max Surge voltage -5700V]
    4. Dual channel IC [Single channel]
    5. capable of driving High side and Low side 1700V SiC MOSFET.

    Supports DESAT as well.

    Thank you for sharing the information. Parts are reaching the requirements.
    But we are looking for dual channel IC. please suggest any isolated gate driver which is dual channel. It will be helpful.

    Hi, Tejasri,

    We don't have a dual-channel driver with the features you are looking for.

    The closest would be UCC21530, but it doesn't have protection. 

    There is an example of a discrete DESAT design in this design: https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00448

    I would recommend the UCC217xx device family as it incorporates all the circuitry you need. This will allow you to optimize your PCB design for a compact layout enabling the highest performance.
