ISO6721: Tail patch problem

Part Number: ISO6721

What is the difference between ISO6721 and ISO6721B

  • Hi Anna,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The letter 'B' indicates that the device is a Basic Isolation version of the original device ISO6721 which is a reinforced isolator. The definition of basic and reinforced isolation according to VDE 0884-17 or IEC 60747-17 is that any device that supports a Surge rating (VIOSM) of >10kV is rated as reinforced isolator while device with <10kV VIOSM are rated as basic isolators.

I hope this answers your question, thanks.
