ISO35: ISO35 as a direct replacement for ADM2491E.

I´m trying to replace the ADM2491E for ISO35, but it is not working. They have the same pinout and work the same way.

Vcc=5V, I´ve added both missing GND (pins 7 and 10). The application is low speed DMX receivers (250 kbps/s).

Am I missing something ?

Hi Thiago,

The drop-in replacement for ADM2491E is ISO1412 for the data rate of 250kbps. ISO14x2 series can support upto 50Mbps.
As mentioned, ISO35 needs NC of ADM2491E to be connected to respective GNDs. We would suggest ISO1412 for your application.

I have connected the GNDs (pins 7 and 8 together and pins 9 and 10), so it should work, right?

I will consider ISO1412, but I need a lower cost solution. What about ISO3086 ?

Hi,

Sorry for missing out on detail. ISO35 is 5V input tolerant but Vcc needs to be 3.3V. Please change the Vcc to 3.3V and it should work fine. Alternatively, you can use newer device such as ISO1412 which are comparable in price due to latest process technology and high production volumes.
