SN6501: Low no-load current for isolated 5V supply

Hello,

I am looking for a 12V to 5V or 5V to 5V, 100mA max load isolated power supply with low no load current draw (at most 1 mA).

I understand SN6501 is has higher no load current draw, so was looking at other options from TI.

Thanks for reaching out.

Your understanding is correct, the push-pull transformer driver solutions we have (SN6501, SN6505 & SN6507) do not support 1mA no load current requirement. The best way to meet this requirement is to use the enable/disable feature of SN6505 or SN6507 which when disabled should consume a lot less current and possibly meet your requirement. I hope that you will be able to use these devices with enable function, thanks.

Thanks Koteshwar Rao for the quick response. Any other option from TI like Fly Buck circuits can make low no load current happen?

Thanks for your response.
For isolated power supply solution, 1mA no-load current is a stringent requirement and I am not sure if we have a device to support this. Please do post this question also on the Power Management forum as well so that the power supply team can comment if this requirement can be met. Thanks.
