ISOW7744: device pin connection check

Part Number: ISOW7744

Hi,

Some questions would like to check with you.

1, Could pin8 EN/FLT floating?

2. if Pin8 high, when DC-DC power converted is enable, the output will be Visoout, right?

3. If Pin8 low, could no supply for VDD and supply VIO by external source?

  • Hi Jim,

Thanks for reaching out. Please see my inputs below, thanks.

    1. EN/FLT pin shouldn't be left floating. It should be connected to VIO through a pull-up resistor to enable the device.
    2. That is correct, VDD is the input of DC/DC and VISOOUT is the output.
    3. No, if EN/FLT is LOW then the device will be disabled and powering VIO external doesn't allow device operation. This pin has to be made HIGH to make the device work.
