ISO1228: Bi-directional operation

Hi team,

Does ISO1228 support bi-directional operation if LEDs are not used?
My customer wonders if ISO1228 supports both sink and source operation without changing passive components.
From my understanding, it's not supported because RSURGE, RILIM, CFIL and CSURGE components are different between source and sink configuration.

    Thanks for reaching out. 

    Yes, there is a way for the customer to configure the device so that it can operate in both sink and source mode. This implementation requires the customer to not use LEDs, and to use six additional diodes to reverse the external polarity power.
