I am using ISOW7842 in two locations to create a Viso.

In both location the downside Vcc measures 3.312V.

In one location Viso measures 3.717V.

2nd location Viso measures 3.719V.

Both of these Viso values exceed the data sheet specified Max of 3.58V although

the Absolute Maximum Rating of 6V is not exceeded.

Both of the Viso outputs are supplying the part itself and a TPS3710DDCR device

whose operating voltage range is 1.8V to 18V so there should not be an impact

on the TPS3710 but being out of data sheet spec on two devices is unusual.

What impact will the out of spec Viso have on the device itself?  Is there an

impact on performance or reliability?

    Hi Daniel,

    Thank you for reaching out and for sharing details related to your question.

    Since 3.7V is within device absolute max ratings, I don't expect any reliability concerns but since the value is outside datasheet specification it might not necessarily meet datasheet performance specifications.

    We don't expect the device to produce 3.7V at VISO when its input supply VCC is 3.3V.

    1. Could you please share the schematic to review?
    2. Does this happen under any specific test condition or is it happening during normal testing all the time?
    3. Did you only test these two devices or did you observe on multiple other devices on other PCBs?
    4. If possible, please do share waveform or other relevant information.
    5. If you haven't tested more units, please try testing more devices on the same PCB and new PCBs.
