SN6507DGQEVM: SN6507DGQEVM

Part Number: SN6507DGQEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN6507,

Dear Sir,

I would like to use SN6507 to do the following:

1) Input Voltage = 9.5 V

2) Output Voltage = 15 V

3) Output Current = 0.4 A

I have the SN6507DGQEVM, to achieve the above, do I need to change transformer ?   If yes, do you have any recommendations for me?

Also, do I have to change inductors?  If yes, do you have any recommendations for me?

Thanks you for your support

Albert

  • Hello Albert,

Thank you for reaching out. The SN6507 cannot support 15V @ 0.4A with the given input voltage. The SN6507 has a maximum input current of 0.5A. With an input of 9.5V, the SN6507 is capable of supporting ~4W. If a 15V output is desired, then the device can only supply around 250mA.

If this is acceptable then the transformer would need to be changed, I would recommend using Wurth 750319693 (datasheet recommendation) with the EVM's LDO to get the 15V output.

    Best,
    Andrew
