ISOM8110: Request for disclosure of reliability data that is the basis for long life

Part Number: ISOM8110

My name is Kurata.

We evaluated your photo coupler emulator ISOM8110 demo board.

As a result of evaluating the input/output characteristics, I felt that there was not much difference between it and a general photo coupler.

The advantage of this emulator is the principle of insulation conversion.

We recognized that the advantage of CTR is that there is little deterioration over time.

We are unable to evaluate CTR's aging deterioration test in advance, so do you have any evaluation materials that can prove it?

Please provide it if you have it.

  • Hello Kurata-san,

    Thank you for considering ISOM810.

I felt that there was not much difference between it and a general photo coupler.

ISOM8110 is designed to emulate the industry's most common photocouplers while using TI's SIO2-based isolation technology to provide stable CTR and isolation. The CTR performance shown in the datasheet is what is expected for the lifetime of the device. As part of device characterization and qualification, devices are tested and stressed to ensure datasheet parameters over lifer time.

You can expect CTR performance to stay the same (within datasheet parameters) over the device's lifetime.

    Best,
    Andrew
