ISO7241M: Does the ISO7241 have the same twake spec as the ISO7240?

Part Number: ISO7241M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7240CF

The ISO7240 has a t-wake spec of 15us max. This spec is the timing from when the DISABLE pin is lowered, how long before the IN state is reflected on the OUT state on the isolated side of the chip.

The ISO7241 changes the DISABLE pin to EN-1, and controls the output state of the OUT-D.

Question: does the t-wake spec apply to the ISO7241? I do not believe so... that spec and the DISABLE functionality appear to apply only to the ISO7240CF variant, but we are tracking a problem that could be explained by this, so just want to confirm.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

  • Hello Paul,

ISO7240CF is the only device were the t-wake spec applies. The spec is for the input disable pin ('DISABLE' and 'CTRL') and is test as per Figure 14. Wake Time From Input Disable Test Circuit and Voltage Waveforms.

All other variants in this datasheet have an output disable ('ENx'). Comparable specs are provided using the test circuit in Figure 12. Enable or Disable Propagation-Delay Time Test Circuit and Waveform (shown below).

    Best,
    Andrew
