ISO1540: supply current and output driving capability

Part Number: ISO1540

Hello expert,

May we know the difference between Icc and IOL? My customer would like to do the power simulation and need to know IC consumption for ISO1540. For my opinion, they should take Icc as consideration since Icc is IC consume current, and IOL should be sink (pull down capability). Please kindly help to answer it, thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Ann Lien

  • Hello Ann,

You are correct. Icc is the total current consumption for the side of the isolator. I_OL is the recommended current range for the output pin when in the low state, which is the amount off current the pin can sink and not the same as device current consumption.

    Best,
