ISO1228: DI Redundancy between two equipment.

Part Number: ISO1228

DI Redundancy.

If there are two ISO1228 for DI Inputs which located different box  and the source of DI are same (single source)

The equipment are normally good working.

Suddenly, one equipment power is off (ISO1228 AVCC 24V) then How can I estimate the other equipment(the 24V Power source is same) DI status?

P.S

I would like to know about DI inputs impedance at power off of ISO1228 AVCC 24V.

Best regards.

Hwang.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your patience and sorry for the delay.

We had reached out to the design team for more information in regards to your questions. We have answered your questions below:

    1. How can I estimate the other equipment(the 24V Power source is same) DI status?
      1. Each ISO1228 would require its own setup as per the datasheet for the AVCC and INx pins. This means that if the first device is OFF, the second device would still be operational
    2. I would like to know about DI inputs impedance at power off of ISO1228 AVCC 24V.
      1. When the ISO1228 device is powered off, the DI inputs on field side would be at high impedance.
