This is jude from innospace automation Pvt limited. We have used IS0W1412DFMR isolated Rs485 chip for our Modbus application.

here We are facing some communication issue while establish the communication between Microcontroller and PC through Rs485 converter.

Microcontroller(PIC24FJ32GP2025) detect the frame error(stop bit missing) while receiving data from PC through ISOW1412.

the same application working in RS232 interface.

i have attached the schematic image for your reference

kindly give us the solution for this issue

    Hi Jude,

    Thank you for reaching out and sharing details related to the issue you are facing.

    I have reviewed the schematic and I didn't see any major concerns in it. The ISOW1412 is only a transceiver at the physical layer, it doesn't engage in the protocol and simply transmits whatever is being received. To verify if the device is working as expected, I would recommend you to separate ISOW1412 from rest of the components on PCB and apply the same data pattern to either 'D' or the RS-485 bus and monitor the outputs to check if the device is reliably transmitting the data. This will tell us if the device is not sending the stop bit reliably.
