ISOW1412: Additional Current

Hi team,

Customer wants to use Visoout for supply for an external opto-cupler. The datasheet shows 20mA capable. But from Electric Characterisitic, I can not find. How do we know how much current can be drawn by external load?

    Hi Hayashi-san,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    As stated in the screenshot you have shared from datasheet, you can add upto 20mA of additional load on VISOOUT. Since it is only a rating of output current, there is no characterization data associated with it. It simply states that customer can add upto 20mA of additional load on VISOOUT if they need it.

    Please note that this additional 20mA is dependent on some test conditions including operating temperature range, please see below snapshot from Recommended Operating Conditions from ISOW1412 datasheet for more details. Thanks.
