Hi Team,

I'm going to isolate the AFE4960P's I2C signals from the MPU. The AFE4960P's I2C signal's voltage level was 1.8V, and the MPU's voltage level was 3.3V.

Can I use ISO7041DBQ for isolating AFE's I2C from MPU?

Hello Senha,

The ISO7041 is a unidirectional digital isolator with CMOS style outputs. It will be able to isolate the digital signal however, you may prefer a bidirectional I2C (open collector) isolators like ISO1640.

Thanks for the clarification!

The AFE4960P's I2C signal's voltage level was 1.8V, and the MPU's voltage level was 3.3V.

Does the isolator also translate the voltages from AFE to MPU?
