ISOW7741: Output enable reference

Part Number: ISOW7741

On the output side of the isolator, what reference is used for the output enable signal?  For example on the ISOW7741 pin 14 is used for enabling outputs on pins 17, 18, and 19.  The datasheet in table 7.1 implies that it is referenced to ground on the input side pins 6 and 10 GND1.  Is my understanding correct?

  • Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry about the confusion.

EN_IOx is an input pin, VSI (input side supply) refers to the supply voltage to the side where the referred input exists. In other words, in this case, VSI should be "Enable Input" side supply. This means that the supply for EN_IO1 is VIO / GNDIO and the supply for EN_IO2 is VISOIN / GISOIN.

The input recommended voltages and thresholds for all inputs pins including EN_IOx are listed in datasheet as below, thanks.
