SN6507: Potential SS Noise Issue

Part Number: SN6507

Hi team,

I have a customer with the below question regarding a strong spectral component at 32kHz. Let me know what you think and thanks in advance!

"I’m using the SN6507 to make ±15V from +12V for some sensitive analog circuits and seeing unexpected noise generated by the SN6507 on the ±15V rails. The converter is running ~1MHz (CLK pin pulled to ground), but I am seeing a strong spectral component at ~32kHz:

The frequency is not tightly controlled – I can make it wander by heating or cooling the SN6507.

Any ideas here? I’m guessing this is the spread spectrum modulation rate, but I don’t have the test gear to measure that to confirm. If so, could I get some more info on the bounds of the SS modulation so I can design a filter that will be sure to get rid of the noise? There is no parametric info about the SS in the datasheet."
