ISO1050: Land pattern for SOP package

Part Number: ISO1050

Dear Technical Support Team,

What's the difference between "IPC-7351 NOMINAL 6.75 mm CLEARANCE/CREEPAGE" and  "HV / ISOLATION OPTION 7.1 mm CLEARANCE/CREEPAGE" for ISO1050DUBR?

Which land pattern should I normally use? Is "HV / ISOLATION OPTION" better for isolation specifications?
In that case, please tell me the specific specifications of the data sheet.

Best Regards,

ttd

  • Hello ttd,

The difference is that the 7.1mm clearance and creepage distance land pattern provides a suggestion for how to increase the minimum side to side distance of conductors across the isolation barrier. This would be in the case that a higher working voltage requirement is needed.

This does not increase the isolation ratings or the performance of the device itself, but increases side to side to remove the chance of arcing across the package based on system level working voltage requirements.

More details about creepage and clearance can be found here:
