ISOW1044: GND connection for two ISO1044

Hi Team,

My customer need to check the GND connection for two ISOW1044 on system case.

They are going to tied two GND pin of both ISO1044 to one system GND.

I think that each ISOW1044 will be connected to different systems.

please give your advice.

    Hi Joey,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I see that you have used two part numbers ISOW1044 and ISO1044 but I am assuming you meant to refer to ISOW1044 only. ISOW1044 has two sides, the MCU or system side and the CAN bus side. If the two ISOW1044 devices are driven by the same MCU or two MCUs with the same ground then the MCU sides of ISOW1044 can be connected together.

    The CAN bus side grounds are not required to be connected but if customer would like to connected them then that should be fine as well.
