ISO7721DEVM: Which column in Table F.5 has to be considered for components for IEC 60664-1?

Part Number: ISO7721DEVM

Since TI is using Material group I for all packages for components, it results in less constraints to meet the IEC 60664-1 standard. In order to be sure which column has to be referred to compare the creepage requirement from IEC 60664-1 Table F.5 to the TI component datasheet, could you please answer if it is Column 3 or Column 5 for material group 1 pollution degree 2?

This is not clear when we refer to section 5.3.3.8 and the flowchart from Figure H.1 in the standard IEC60664-1:2020.

Hi Naveen,

Yes, the standards can be very confusing.

It is always a good idea to consult with your certification agency to make sure there is alignment. I've seen cases where two certification agencies interpret the standards differently.
