ISO6520: Using dual-channel isolator as a single channel isolator

Hi TI,

Is it possible to use the dual-channel isolator ISO6520 as a single-channel device?

If yes, how should I connect the unused input and output pins?

I'm thinking about shorting the unused input to GND1 and shorting the unused output pin to GND2.

Would this work okay? Or should I leave those unused pins open?

Unused output should be left open.

As shown in table 7-2, unused input can be left open. (But it would not hurt to apply a valid voltage.)

Thank you for your question.

We would recommend to have the input of unused channel to be pulled up or down to match the default state of the device. The output pins of all the unused channels are best left unconnected. Please find more information on our FAQ linked below:
