Tool/software:

Customer is worried about if different CAN transceivers on the same bus that could have conflict. For example, if the ISOW1044, ISO1042 and SN65HVD3082 are used on the same bus, what parameter we should take care and pay attention on.

As i know in general below are most care about with standard designs, what else and why? The most important i'd like to know is that behavior deviations between different part number.

- Termination method

- longer cables

- longer stub lengths

- number of nodes

- Input impedance of the CAN

CAN transceivers that conform to the CAN specification are compatible with each other. All these devices do conform to the CAN specification.

Hi Brian,

As Clemens stated, all the CAN transceivers that you have listed conform to CAN standard and hence, they shouldn't have any issues in interacting with each other.

The parameters that you have listed out, need to be taken care of according to customer requirements irrespective of what CAN transceivers are used. Otherwise, I don't expect any issues in using CAN nodes on a bus with 5 meters cable length at 1Mbps. Thanks.
