UCC15241-Q1: Higher Power Isolated DC/DC Converters

Tool/software:

Does TI offer any isolated DC/DC converters that are rated to at least 24W?

Specs:

Input: 24V

Output: 24V

Isolated

Output current: >=1A

Thank you,
Katie

  • Katie,

    The part number in your title is UCC15241 which is integrated isolated bias (IIB) control/driver/transformer and TI refers to these as modules. The max power capability of TI modules varies but is hovering around ~3W.

    Isolated 24W would require a traditional DC/DC converter design and for 24W a flyback converter is the likely choice. TI has a variety of general purpose PWM controllers that can be used for flyback designs. If you are unfamiliar with DC/DC converter topologies, please download and learn more by using TI Power Stage Designer. And finally, you can also search the TI reference design database for existing designs that might have similar electrical specs to what you require.
