Tool/software:
Dear Specialists,
My customer is considering ISO7230C and has a question.
I would be grateful if you could advise.
---
According to HP Certifications and Standards, ISO7340C is not certified to TUV EN62368-1.
Is there a plan to get it certified?
If so, when will it be certified?
Is there a plan to get it certified to TUV EN62368-1?
---
I appreciate your great help in advance.
Best regards,
Shinichi
Hello Shinichi,
Thanks for posting your question on E2E forum.
We don't have any plans to certify ISO7340C through TUV EN62368-1. Since newer version of this device, ISO6740, is available, we recommend that the customer use this newer device. It is already certified according to TUV EN62368-1. TUV certificate is available at: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/szzq074.
Thanks,
Saleem Marwat
Hi saleem,
Thank you for your reply.
I have two additional questions.
Could you please advise?
(1) According to the Isolation certifications, ISO 7340C is certificated CSA IEC 62368-1.
However, I can not find any certification at the product folder.
(2) Could you please let me know the difference between CSA IEC 62368-1 and TUV EN 62368-1?
I appreciate your great help and cooperation.
Best regards,
Shinichi
Hi Shinichi,
1. Yes, ISO7340C CSA certificate was issued in 2015 and at that time IEC 60950-1 wasn't replaced by IEC 62368-1, so our CSA certificate still shows IEC 60950-1 certificate. CSA Certificate is available at: https://www.ti.com/lit/cr/szzq258/szzq258.pdf. Whenever the CSA certificate is updated, IEC 60950-1 will be replaced with IEC 62368-1 but I don't know when the next certificate update will happen.
2. TUV EN 62368-1 certification is for the European (EN) market and CSA IEC 62368-1 certification is for the Canadian market.
I hope this is clear.
Thanks,
Saleem Marwat
Hi Saleem,
Thank you for your reply.
I could deepen my understanding.
Could you please advise is following understanding correct?
---
(1) ISO7340C is not currently certified for IEC62368-1 and does not have a certificate.
In the table above, CSA62368-1 is checked, but IEC60950-1 certification is actually shown in the product folder.
(2) ISO7340C is not currently certified for TUV EN62368-1 and does not have a certificate.
There is no plan to certificate for TUV EN62368-1.

I appreciate your great help and cooperation.

Shinichi
