ISO6721-Q1: What's device ICC2 when there is only VCC2 apply on device (VCC1=0V, VCC2 = 5V)?

HI team,

I have a project and plan to use the ISO6721 for isolated UART communication.

When system is low power mode there is no communication through ISO6721. The Low voltage LV side supply is off, which means the VCC1 on the ISO6721 is completely off.

However the high voltage HV side supply is still on, which means 5V supply still apply on the VCC2.

The ICC1 will be 0A, but I am wondering is there any current on the ICC2? And if yes, what would this current be?

As far as I can see, you get the normal idle current on ICC2, i.e., 2.1 mA max.

When VCC1 side is 0V and VCC2 side is 5V, the ICC2 is 2.3mA as shown in the below picture (section 7.8 in datasheet):

As your picture says, the supply condition for 2.3mA(and all other parameters) is both VCC1 = VCC2 = 5V.

Does it also applies when VCC1 is powered off?

Thank you for your question.

Both sides of the isolator are powered independently. Therefore, the ICC values are for each side independently.

When VCC1 side is turned off, there is no input signal that is transmitted, meaning VI = 0V. When VCC2 is powered on, it would still have the same ICC2 value shown in the datasheet, which is 2.3mA.
