ISO1541: compatible with AC signals?

Tool/software:

We are using an ISO1541 to communicate with a current sensor that is referenced to the AC line, but experience communication errors.  Is there an issue when the isolated side is referenced to an AC line (in this case 400Hz))?

    Thank you for your patience and your question.

    From your diagram, it looks like the GND2 of the isolator is on the same ground node as the 115V AC line. Since the GND2 is referencing a ground that is shared with the AC line, this can cause issues in signal transmission of the isolator.

    A schematic of the system may be helpful in further diagnosing the issue and making a recommendation, however, the GND2 being tied to the AC line may be causing the signal errors you are experiencing.
