Dear Experts,
I would like to inquire about how to estimate the power consumption and temperature rise data of SN6505. Currently, our application scenario is used in the isolated drive power supply of photovoltaic inverters, with a power of 3W and outputs of+12V and -8V. The data manual only contains thermal resistance data and cannot determine the temperature rise or whether there is any risk associated with this application. I hope to receive an answer. Thank you

Power consumption can be estimated using the Typical Characteristics curves in section 6.7 and 6.8 of the datasheet. These curves are taken with approved transformers and can be used to estimate output power and efficiency (see Figure 6-41 for reference).
The temperature rise data can be calculated using the parameters in 6.4 Thermal Information and the methods and equations discussed in the footnote (Semiconductor and IC Package Thermal Metrics (Rev. D) (ti.com))
