UCC33410: Land pattern

Hi All,


I have a question about the land pattern of UCC33410.
As for the (R0.05)TYP in the diagram below, a customer has requested that it be made square due to lack of manufacturing precision. Is this okay?

    Yes, as long as the square does not extend beneath the package further than the recommended land pattern (this would compromise the creepage/clearance, isolation rating). It is ok to extend the square away from the package but as you're aware, pick and place will  not be able to discern the geometric differences between these pins.
