SN6507: SN6507 with Wurth transformer PN 750319693 for 12V to 24V

Part Number: SN6507

Tool/software:

i follow the indication to use Wurth transformer PN 750319693 to have 24VDC out put voltage (12V input voltage).

the problem is that I have 27VDC as output voltage.

I have not use LDO because my input voltage is 12V from stabilized power supply.

what's the possible solution to have 24VDC?

why in datasheet do you write 12V to 24V with Wurth transformer PN 750319693? is not true.

i hope you can help me

  • Hello Andrea,

SN6507 is an open-loop push-pull transformer driver where there is no feedback from secondary to primary, therefore, the device doesn't regulate the output. The reason you see an increase in secondary voltage slightly is due the margin accounted for the output rectifier voltage drop and margin for an LDO to maintain regulation. To regulate this unregulated output, design need to have a post-regulator like LDO.
