I am contacting you on behalf of Manitty, a French startup developing portable medical devices dedicated to the acquisition of biopotential signals.
To obtain regulatory approval for our product, we must comply with the IEC 60601-1:2005 + A1 + A2 (edition 3.2) standard, which requires reinforced isolation (2 × MOPP) between the patient circuit and the rest of the system, including the USB interface.
We evaluated the LTM2884 (Analog Devices). Although it provides galvanic isolation of the D+/D– lines and delivers approximately 1 W of isolated power, it does not meet our constraints regarding heat dissipation, size, and available power.
We are therefore looking for an isolated USB transceiver/transformer that meets the following criteria:
IEC 60601-1 certification with 2 × MOPP isolation;
Form factor suitable for embedded integration;
Full-speed (12 Mbps) or high-speed (480 Mbps) USB compatibility;
Minimum isolated power: 2 W.
Could you please tell us if your product range includes a component that meets these specifications or direct us to an equivalent solution? We are, of course, willing to discuss this further under a confidentiality agreement, if necessary.
