ISO6720: .Z suffix meaning

Part Number: ISO6720

Tool/software:

Dear Texas Instruments Sales/Technical Support,

We are writing to inquire about two specific part numbers from your product portfolio: ISO6720FBDR and ISO6720FBDR-Z.

Could you please clarify the meaning of the "Z" suffix in the ISO6720FBDR-Z part number? We are looking to understand if this suffix denotes a specific variation, packaging, or any other distinguishing characteristic compared to the ISO6720FBDR.

Furthermore, we would like to confirm the current orderability of both the ISO6720FBDR and ISO6720FBDR-Z. Please let us know if these parts are actively available for order and, if so, provide any relevant information regarding lead times or minimum order quantities.

Thank you for your time and assistance. We look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely,

Norbert

.Z was intended for a similar purpose, but is no longer used.

  • Hi Norbert,

Welcome to TI E2E forum and thank you for reaching out!
As Clemens stated, the suffixes with a dot (like .A, .B or .Z) indicate where the unit is being manufactured and are not related to device operation or performance. Therefore, there are no operational or performance differences between any of these devices. The ".Z" was a suffix used earlier and is no longer used. Based on your preference, you can choose either the ".A" parts of the ".B" parts. Both these parts are actively available and orderable and their inventory is visible on their respective page on ti.com under ordering section.

Let us know if you have any further questions, thanks.
